A Big Baby Step

I went to the oncologist today...what an incredibly nice man! Not the "Greek God" like Mom had, but close enough. I will start chemo on Friday, which will go on for 24 weeks before I have my surgery. He gave me a prescription for nausea and vomiting....3 pills....$90!!! WOW!
Then I stopped by the surgeon's office to cancel my appointment for Wednesday. She was kind enough to take a few minutes between patients to make sure I was okay. What a supportive team I am blessed to have.

My feelings today: After my initial apprehension about the dr. appointment, I felt like a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I CAN go on! I CAN do this!!

What I did nice for myself: I got a haircut! Gotta get used to the "light-head" feeling! After I finish blogging, I am going to take a bubble bath and read...yum! I also stuck to my diet, and even have extra points left over...hmmmm... what shall I do about THAT!?!

What I did nice for others: Still working on the Oxfam sweater that I started yesterday.

Touching bases: I talked to Dr. C today and also Sue. Both are supportive and understanding. Mark is doing better and said he'll love me just as much hairless.

My to-do list for tomorrow:
Schedule meetings with parents (I can do that now!)
Go to Cub Scouts
